Giro d'Italia, 1953: Passo Sella, Dolomiti

Newsreel footage the 1953 Giro d'Italia (no audio). Passo Sella, one of the climbs in the Sella Ronda in the Dolomites is still as stunningly beautiful as it was then: http://italiancyclingjournal.blogspot.com/2009/04/riding-sella-ronda-in-april.html

Fausto Coppi can be seen climbing Passo Sella, winning the 19th stage to Bolzano ahead of maglia rosa wearer Hugo Koblet (ed. note: reader Igor left a comment worth repeating here: "Nice video, but the Passo Sella is just shown from minute 2:44 to 3:15. The whole video shows (from the beginning) the climb from Auronzo direction "Lago Misurina" after that the cyclists are in "Cortina d'Ampezzo" and go up to the Passo Falzarego, then down to the Livinallongo valley and up to the "Passo Pordoi", "Passo Sella" then suddenly they are on the flat part of the Isarco Valley until they reach the finish in Bolzano.").
