Blessing of the Bikes

In Verona there is an annual end of the cycling season Mass for cyclists.

In New York City there is the "Blessing of the Bikes" at the start of the cycling season in which the Reverend Canon Thomas P. Miller S.T.M., of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, sprinkles bikes with Holy Water. There is also a moment of silence to remember those cyclists that have been lost in the past year.

Stories for the Italian Cycling Journal about rides, granfondo, having a good time cycling in Italy, Italian cycling history, etc. are very welcome. Contact me at veronaman@gmail.com. There are more than 1,300 stories in this blog. The search feature to the right works best for finding subjects in the blog and there is also a translate button at the bottom so you can translate each page.
