Yesterday's Giro d'Italia stage 6 victory by Francisco Ventoso marked not only Pinarello's first success at this year's edition but also the first grand tour win for Campagnolo's electronic gruppo. The first ever victory of Campagnolo's new gruppo also came from Ventoso, on the 5th stage of the Tour Down Under.

Campagnolo is still calling it "Campy Tech Lab" but in an interview with Valentino Campagnolo by Road Bike Action magazine Valentino referred to it as "Electronic Power Shift" (EPS). When asked about the name EPS, Valentino responded, "Our EPS system was started in 2003, and so, yes, to Mr. Colnago, we said we were sorry, but asked him not to use the name anymore and it was understandable."
Recently Colnago announced that it was dropping the EPS model and introducing the EPQ.
